Mount Sterling losing jobs

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two separate plants closings in Mount Sterling will mean the loss of some 450-jobs. Lexington Metal Systems announced it’s closing its plant by the end of this year, but did not say why. About 100-people work at that plant. A few days ago, Pentair Inc., blaming the economy and a downturn in manufacturing, announced it’s closing its Mount Sterling plant by the end of next year. No specific date was announced by the company, which manufactures industrial enclosures. The company’s Website says it employs 30,000 people worldwide. There are 350-people who work at the Mount Sterling plant.
