Motorcyclist dies from injuries after a crash on Winchester Road, coroner confirms

The Fayette County Coroner has confirmed that the motorcyclist injured in a crash on Winchester Road and East Loudon Avenue had died.

The coroner report identifies the victim as 35-year-old Jeremy Wayne Bales. His cause of death is listed as “blunt trauma injuries due to motor vehicle collision.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Lexington Fire Department tells media partner LEX 18 that one person has been taken to the hospital after a motorcycle crash on Thursday morning at the intersection of Winchester Road and East Loudon Avenue.

According to fire officials, the driver of the motorcycle was transported with reported life-threatening injuries.

Lexington police say that Winchester Road is shut down in both directions while the Collision Reconstruction Unit investigates the scene.
