Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing into Vehicle
An accident in Nicholasville Saturday evening caused a motorcyclist to be thrown from his bike, fatally wounding him, according to the Fayette County Coroner.
Police said a vehicle had stopped at the intersection of US Highway 27 and Elizabeth Street to give a fire truck answering a call the right of way.
That’s when they said James Hopkins, 43, slammed into the back of the stopped vehicle.
The Fayette County Coroner said Hopkins was not wearing a helmet at the time and died after being sent to UK Hospital.
