Motorcycle driver dies after colliding with dump truck in Harlan Co.

BLEDSOE, Ky. (WTVQ) -State Police say a motorcyclist has died after colliding with a dump truck on US 421 in the Bledsoe community of Harlan County.

Investigators say 36-year-old Christopher Cornett was traveling southbound on his 2010 Harley Davidson when he crossed the center line, hitting a JWB dump truck.

KSP says Cornett was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. They say 37-year-old Jason Brock, the driver of the dump truck, wasn’t injured during the collision.

KSP is continuing to investigate if drugs and/or alcohol are a contributing factor into this collision.
