Morgan Freeman Raises Money For Diversity Scholarship At UK

Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman did a favor for a childhood friend by appearing at the University of Kentucky Monday night as part of a fundraiser for a scholarship fund. 

Freeman came to UK to help Doctor Benjamin Nero, the first African-American graduate of the University of Kentucky’s College of Dentistry.

Freeman’s appearance helped raise money for the Doctors Benjamin Nero/Robert Biggerstaff Diversity Scholarship Fund.

Freeman’s appearance, where he discussed his career, was held at the Singletary Center for the Arts.
