Morehead Woman Dies In Thanksgiving Day Crash

State Police said a Morehead woman was killed and a Morehead man injured in a two-vehicle crash Thanksgiving morning.

State Police said Dustin J. Rayburn, 21, of Morehead, was traveling east on KY 32 near the 11 mile marker in Rowan County in a pickup when he crossed the center line and collided with a Jeep Cherokee driven by Wendy S. Williams, 33, of Morehead.

State Police said the impact caused Williams’ Jeep to overturn onto the westbound shoulder.

State Police said Williams was airlifted from the scene to U.K. Hospital in Lexington where she died.

State Police said Rayburn was airlifted to a hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, where he was listed in stable condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
