Morehead Police investigating death of 83-year-old woman

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ)- Morehead Police are investigating the death of an 83-year-old woman.

According to the Rowan County Coroner, the woman’s neighbor called dispatchers worried because she hadn’t seen the elderly woman in about a week.

Police officers went to the apartment building on South Blair Avenue Wednesday afternoon and found the woman dead.

The coroner says he doesn’t suspect any foul play in the woman’s death.

He’ll identify her once he’s gotten in touch with her family.
