More bus cancellations Tuesday in Fayette County

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County Public Schools announced more bus route cancellations for Tuesday, August 24, due to the ongoing bus driver and bus monitor shortage. It’s the second day in a row of multiple cancellations.

According to FCPS, the following routes have been canceled:

AM Bus 974  Douglass/Carter G Woodson

AM Bus 874  Deep Springs  Bryan Station High  Bryan Station Middle

AM Bus 1805  SCAPA/Lafayette

AM Bus 224  Tates Creek High  Southern Middle

AM Bus 1965  Garrett Morgan  Douglass/Carter G Woodson  Winburn

AM Bus 2118  RISE

AM Bus 770  Harrison  Bryan Station Middle

AM Bus 412  Julius Marks  Bryan Station Middle

According to FCPS, if a morning bus route is canceled, it is canceled for that morning only. If an afternoon bus route is delayed, transportation will be available at 4:45 p.m. after other routes are completed and additional drivers are available. Families can choose to find a different way home for their children in the interim.
