Moonshine University offers new courses
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Louisville distillery that offers classes on making spirits is rolling out new courses for next year’s enrollment.
Moonshine University says the workshops and courses are for spirits aficionados of all skill levels who are interested in learning about the beverage industry. They include workshops on bourbon making, fermentation and distiller courses.
The bourbon-making school is part of the Distilled Spirits Epicenter, a distillery complex in Louisville. Owner David Dafoe says people have come from around the world to take the courses.
New offerings for 2015 include an extensive course on rum production and an advanced sensory training program and expanded workshops on gin making.
