“Moonlight and Magnolias” – Ragged Edge Theatre
If you’re a Gone With the Wind fan, you won’t want to miss this production from the Ragged Edge Theatre! John Stith tells Katie Solove about the company’s show, “Moonlight and Magnolias.”
The show transports audiences back to 1939, when boy wonder movie producer, David O. Selznick, began shooting his masterpiece, Gone with the Wind. Three weeks into shooting, however, Selznick threw the shooting script into the trash and fired director (and his best friend) George Cukor! “Moonlight and Magnolias” tells the hilarious story of what happened over the next five days when Selznick locked himself and fellow film legends Victor Fleming and Ben Hecht in his office, refusing to let them leave (or bathe, or sleep) until they had produced, “A script I can believe in!”
Catch the hilarious performance at the Ragged Edge Community Theatre (located at 111 South Main Street in Harrodsburg,) Friday, April 21st – Sunday April 23rd, or on Friday April 28th – Sunday, April 30th.
