Monticello man arrested for false imprisonment, terroristic threatening

MONTICELLO, Ky. (WTVQ) — A Monticello man was arrested Tuesday after two alleged instances of false imprisonment within the last week.

On Dec. 23, Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron says deputies were called to a home on Black Road for a man holding his girlfriend inside during a domestic violence incident.

Three days later, around 2:30 a.m., deputies say they were called to a home on Cedar Bluff Circle Road for a report of the same man lying on the floor not responding.

Wayne County EMS also responded to the scene, were able to wake the man up and said he “appeared to not be having any type of medical emergency.”

As deputies were leaving the scene, the man allegedly began cursing at the homeowner and shut and locked the homeowner’s door. The man “held the homeowner inside and would not allow him to reopen the door to go outside for help,” deputies said.

The man eventually walked out of the home and deputies arrested him.

Jason Piercy was booked into the Wayne County Detention Center for terroristic threatening and unlawful imprisonment.
