Sheriff: Money, drugs seized during traffic stop

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Madison Co. Sheriff says a traffic stop ended with an arrest and the seizure of drugs and thousands of dollars in cash.

According to the Sheriff, deputies stopped 45-year old Anthony Ray Davidson on Tuesday around 7:00 p.m. on Battlefield Memorial Highway near the intersection of Owsley Fork Road.

When deputies searched the vehicle, they say they found 38.4 grams of methamphetamine and $2,849 dollars in cash.

Davidson was arrested and charged for having no registration plates, no registration receipt, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, drug paraphernalia, and trafficking.

He was taken to the Madison Co. Detention Center.
