Mom and son escape duplex fire in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington firefighters say a mother and son were able to get out of a fire in a duplex on Pennebaker Drive safely on Friday.

Firefighters say they believe the fire started in a bedroom, and there was enough damage in that half of the duplex to keep anyone from living there.

Firefighters say the other half of the duplex is okay.
