Missing Williamsburg man found dead in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Laurel County’s sheriff says his office is investigating a death after a body was found near the interstate Sunday night.

According to Sheriff John Root, the body was found off West Cumberland Gap Pkwy. near the intersection of I-75 in a pickup truck in a wooded area.

Deputies say a rabbit hunter noticed the truck which matches the description of one belonging to a missing Williamsburg man. Deputies say 29-year-old Gary Patrick was pronounced dead at the scene. No cause of death has been determined yet.
