Missing Laurel County teen found safe

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Laurel County teenager reported missing earlier this month has been found safe, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say 16-year-old Tanner Harness was located at 4:40 p.m. Monday, bringing an end to a weeks-long search.

Harness was initially reported missing on February 7, prompting the sheriff’s office to issue a Golden Alert D due to his medical needs. Authorities said he was last seen around 1 a.m. that morning near Sizemore Road, about three miles south of London.

No further details about his recovery have been released at this time. Authorities have not stated where he was found or his current condition.
