Missing juvenile found during traffic stop, drug arrest

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say that a man has been arrested on multiple charges after being found in a car with drugs and a missing juvenile.

According to Troopers, a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer stopped 28-year-old Dustin Hurley for not weating a seat belt, and having an excessive window tine.

During the traffic stop, the officer saw that a passenger in Hurley’s vehicle was entered in the LINK/NCIC database as a missing juvenile from Richmond.

The officer also says Hurley failed a field sobriety test.  Upon searching the vehicle, the officer says he found a small plastic wrapper that appeared to contain heroin.

Hurley was taken to the Madison County Detention Center and charged with DUI, and possession, among other offenses.

No word on the condition of the juvenile.
