Missing Franklin County man found safe in Danville after overnight search
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Franklin County man who was reported missing overnight has been found safe, according to emergency management officials.
Authorities say 69-year-old Elza Steve Gaines was last known to be in Stanford late Sunday night and was reported missing around 11:30 p.m. A Golden Alert was issued, prompting a search and public outreach.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Gaines was located safely just before 9 a.m. Monday in Danville. Officials thanked the public for their assistance in helping spread the word.
