“The Miracle Worker” – SCAPA Bluegrass
Cast members Anne Marie Swisher and Linden McGregor drop by the studio to tell ABc 36’s Doug High about SCAPA Bluegrass’ upcoming production of “The Miracle Worker.”
SCAPA continues its 30 year tradition of quality student theater in the Bluegrass with the powerful production, presented at the Downtown Arts Center, located at 141 E. Main Street in Lexington.
A timeless lesson in courage and the language of the human heart, “The Miracle Worker” tells the true story of teacher Annie Sullivan and her student, deaf and blind Helen Keller. Only Anne recognizes the mind and spirit within Helen that is longing to be set free through learning. The Miracle Worker is powerful, emotional, and, ultimately, gloriously uplifting.
The production runs for the public Thursday 12/1 at 7:00 p.m., Friday 12/02 at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday 12/3 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
