Minor Injuries in School Bus Accident in Bell County

HANCE’S CREEK, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some students suffered minor injuries when the school bus they were on dropped off the road and into a ditch in Bell County on Tuesday, according to State Police.

Investigators say it happened just before 4:00 p.m. on KY 1344 in the Hance’s Creek community.

State Police say the rear tire dropped off the road which caused the school bus to go into a ditch.

As a precaution, 11 students who were on the bus were taken to Pineville Community Hospital to be checked out. State Police say only a few student had minor injuries.

Investigators say drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
