Military Honors Ceremony honoring our nation’s heroes

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A powerful evening of patriotism and remembrance is planned in Nicholasville this week as part of the annual Military Freedom Fest.

The Military Honors Ceremony will take place Thursday, June 26, at 6 p.m. at Christ Embassy Church. Brigadier General Howard Hunt will serve as master of ceremonies for the event, which will include tributes to Gold Star spouses, a Korean War prisoner of war, and all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The ceremony will feature a flag presentation, a POW/MIA remembrance, and a performance of “Taps.” Organizers say the event is open to the public and encourages community members to attend and honor the nation’s heroes.
