Miles Simpson Retires From UK Football

One position of weakness for UK football just got weaker. According to a story first reported by the Herald-Leader, Miles Simpson, a senior linebacker announcing his retirement from the field today.

A recurring hip injury preventing the former Simon Kenton product from seeing the field in 2014. Simpson started 11 games in 2012 before injuries placed him in a reserve role last season.

Kentucky – who lost 2013 defensive leader linebacker Avery Williamson to the Tennessee Titans in the NFL Draft, is now paper-thin at linebacker.
