Middle School Holds Blackout for Prostate Cancer Awareness

Tates Creek Middle School played Morton Middle School Tuesday night in basketball.

But the game was just part of the story.

Tates Creek’s Coach Kendra Johnson and Assistant Coach Mike Webster each have dads who’ve battled prostate cancer.

So tonight  the school had a ‘blackout.’

The team sold black t-shirts for fans to wear to commemorate Men’s Health Awareness Month which is November.

Also some of the men at the school grew beards then shaved off parts of them to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
