Meth arrest in Clay Co.

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Clay Co. deputy and a state trooper say they found a handgun and methamphetamine in the car of a wanted man.

The officials say they were headed to Paw Paw road, about 4 miles east of Manchester Friday evening, in reference to a warrant on Eugene “Corky” Price.  When they got there, investigators say they found Price sitting in the driver seat of a car with the door open.  Price agreed to allow the officials to search the car for guns or drugs.

While searching, the deputy says he found a hand gun on the passenger floor board.  The Trooper also found a clear plastic bag containing individually packaged small baggies containing methamphetamine.

Price was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, as well as trafficking in a controlled substance.  He was taken to the Clay Co. Detention Center.
