LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- The first game of Saturday’s Men’s College World Series (MCWS) slate will feature #2 overall seed Kentucky Wildcats and #10 North Carolina State at 2 p.m. ET.

The Wildcats’ first ever game in the MCWS will be broadcast on ESPN as will every other first round matchup. Head Coach Mingione’s team is the home side in its opener in Omaha.

Saturday’s second game will feature unseeded Florida and #3 Texas A & M at 7 p.m. ET. Both games are on the second day of the tournament.

On Friday, #4 North Carolina and #12 Virginia play at 2 p.m. ET followed by #1 Tennessee and #8 Florida State at 7 p.m. ET.

If Kentucky beats the Wolfpack, it’ll play in the winner’s game on Monday at 7 p.m. ET. But, a loss to NC State would mean the Bat Cats are placed in an elimination game on the same day at 2 p.m. ET.

This year’s field of eight teams are made up of two conferences. The SEC and ACC each have four teams competing.
