Memorial scheduled for fifth anniversary of Bardstown officer’s death

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A memorial ceremony honoring a fallen Bardstown police officer is scheduled on the anniversary of his death.

Officer Jason Ellis was shot to death on the Bluegrass Parkway on May 25, 2013 as he stopped to clear brush off roadway.

The memorial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Highview Cemetery at 4880 Lawrenceburg Rd. in Chaplin.

No arrested have been made in connection to Ellis’ murder.
