Memorial, funeral service for brothers killed in fire
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Funeral arrangements have been announced for two teenage brothers who died in a tragic house fire last week in Franklin County.
According to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, 13-year-old Bently Fields and 15-year-old Rylan Fields were found dead inside their home on Flat Creek Road after a fire early Wednesday morning. Their father, Dustin Fields, is now charged with first-degree arson in connection to the case.
Rylan was a freshman at Western Hills High School, and Bently was an eighth grader at Bondurant Middle School. On Tuesday, Bondurant held an emotional memorial inside the school gym, honoring both boys and allowing classmates and teachers to share their memories.
According to their obituary, visitation is scheduled for Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Midland First Church of God in Salt Lick. A memorial service will follow immediately after at the church.
