Meeks traded to Magic

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Former Cat Jodie Meeks is headed to Orlando.  Detroit is dealing Meeks for a future second round pick in 2019.

The Magic currently have $7 million and change to spare sitting below the salary cap.

Meeks agreed to a three-year, $19.5 million deal with the Pistons in 2014, but has played in just 63 games due to injuries.

The former Cat played in three games last season following a foot fracture suffered in preseason play.

Meeks has averaged nearly ten points and two rebounds per game over the course of 7 seasons in the league…including his career-high 42-point performance with the Lakers in a win over the Thunder.
