Mayor shares vision in State Of Community address

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton shared her vision for the city’s future during her annual State of the Community address.

The mayor spoke before the Rotary Club of Lexington at Mane on Main downtown. Her remarks covered public safety, economic development, affordable housing, and quality-of-life initiatives, along with plans for the year ahead.

Gorton, Lexington’s longest-serving council member and now a two-term mayor, also took questions from Rotary members and community leaders.

The event ran until 1 p.m. and was open to Rotary members, guests, and the media.
