Mayor Gorton reschedules State of the City address after winter weather delays
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton will deliver her annual State of the City address Thursday after winter weather forced a postponement earlier this week.
City officials say the speech had originally been scheduled for Tuesday but was pushed back because of snow and icy conditions across the area.
The mayor is now set to give the address Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m. at the Central Bank Center in downtown Lexington on West Vine Street.
The State of the City address typically outlines the city’s accomplishments over the past year and highlights priorities and goals moving forward.
