Mayor Gorton loses bet to Knox County Mayor

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky’s loss to Tennessee means Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton has to pay up in her bet against Knox County, Tennessee’s Mayor.

Gorton and Mayor Glenn Jacobs made a wager over the game. The losing team’s mayor has to donate money to a children’s hospital in the winning team’s city.

The two mayors also made a bet the last time Kentucky and Tennessee played. Gorton won that bet, meaning Jacobs had to buy lunch in Lexington, wearing a Kentucky jersey.
