Matthew McConaughey surprises families in Lawrenceburg

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ)- What a surprise Saturday morning in Lawrenceburg. A special guest gave 4,500 families turkeys.

Matthew McConaughey posted a video on his Facebook page. He was one of more than 250 volunteers helping Wild turkey deliver the turkeys.

It was a way for the distillery to thank its neighbors.

McConaughey is the company’s creative director.

Saturday also happens to be his birthday.
