Mark Pope lands last piece of 2025 recruiting class
Braydon Hawthorne chooses Kentucky as one of the top players in 2025 class
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Head Coach Mark Pope pulled in another commitment to his 2025 recruiting class on Tuesday; Braydon Hawthorne from Huntington Prep in West Virginia.
The 2025 wing had signed with West Virginia last fall, but after Darian DeVries left for Indiana, he decommitted and reopening his recruitment. He choose UK over Duke, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.
He is an ESPN 100 prospect coming in at No. 81 and a No. 33 player nationally per 247 Sports. Kentucky now has 13 players on it’s roster confirmed for the upcoming season, excluding returner Otega Oweh who may decide to forgo any professional opportunities and play another season in Lexington after the NBA Draft.
