March for Logan planned in Versailles

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – As a jury determines Ronald Exantus’ fate, supporters of the Tipton family will be marching against a system they believe failed to bring Exantus to justice. They say it’s practically telling them no-one murdered 6 year-old Logan Tipton.

Exantus was accused of breaking into Tipton’s home after driving from Indianapolis to Versailles. He was accused of stabbing Tipton to death in the head and attacking the father and two other children.

The jury did recommend the maximum sentence of twenty years, but his mother told ABC 36 back in March that isn’t enough.

“I’m glad he at least got something that was the maximum of what he could get. Unfortunately, the jury failed us in the murder of Logan. But we’re not done. We’re not finished. There will be more to come of this,” said Heather Pujol Tipton.

Supporters will also be advocating for Logan’s Law, which they are petitioning to state and federal lawmakers. They believe it will help convict dangerous criminals and give victims like Logan justice.

A Facebook page for supporters of the family say they plan on arriving between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. before beginning their march from the police station to the courthouse.
