Man wanted for questioning in attempted murder of police officer

Ashlan, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police are asking for help locating a person they say they want to talk to about the attempted murder of a police officer.

Ashland Police say the officer tried to make a traffic stop at around 3 a.m. Sunday.

The car took off and there was a pursuit, according to police.

Two people then got out of the car and ran and, as the officer was chasing them, police say they fired shots at him.

The officer was not hurt.

One of the suspects is identified as Frank Jollif Jr.

Police say he is wanted for wanton endangerment and fleeing and evading.

He is also wanted for questioning related to the attempted murder of the police officer.
