Man Thrown While Fixing Stoplight

A worker fixing a stoplight in Mason County is thrown onto the roadway after his work truck was hit by a vehicle.

State police say 40-year-old Edward Johnson was up in a work bucket along Kentucky 9 and Clyde T. Barbour Parkway when the driver of a tractor trailer struck his truck, throwing him out.

Johnson was taken to a nearby hospital, then transferred to UK Medical Center.

Police say there were no signs or flaggers at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.
