Man Stabbed, Robbed at Coolavin Park

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Lexington are investigating after a man was stabbed and robbed early Thursday morning at Coolavin Park.

According to officers, they were called to a store on North Broadway just before 2:00 a.m. where the victim told them he had been robbed.

Investigators say the victim told them that a man approached him, punched him, and then cut him with a pocket knife before taking the victim’s money and running off.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Officers believe the suspect and the victim were acquaintances.
