Man shoots at a car early Saturday, woman shot in the leg

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police Department said a woman was shot in the leg after being shot at multiple times while she was in her car.

The woman was shot at on Hickory Street headed toward Newtown Pike around 3 a.m. Saturday police said.

She reported a man got out of his black SUV and shot at her pickup truck, leaving multiple bullet holes, according to police.

Police said after she was shot she reversed and fled the scene, meeting up with her husband who was in a separate car.

She was taken to UK hospital, police say her gunshot wound is not life threatening.

Police are still looking for the shooter.
