Man shot in the leg while walking dog

LEXINGTON, ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man was shot while walking his dog on Loneta Avenue just before 2:30 Thursday morning.

Lexington Police say four men approached him wearing all black. The victim ran away after one of them punched him in the face. He was then shot in the leg while running away.

He was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

K9 units were dispatched to the scene but didn’t find anything.
