Man shot, killed by State Trooper in Harrison County
HARRISON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in Harrison County.
Troopers say 50-year-old Ramon Morales was shot and killed by a state police trooper Sunday night outside a home on State Road 36 near Cynthiana.
According to investigators, the trooper had responded to a disturbance call at the property. Before the trooper arrived, Morales reportedly drove away from the home and crashed into another vehicle.
Police say there was a confrontation when Morales returned to the home later that night, during which the trooper fired shots. Morales was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and the trooper’s name has not been released.
