Man shot inside own home in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — A man was critically injured in Lexington late Sunday night, after being shot in his own home.

Police say they received multiple calls around 7:30 p.m. about shots fired in the area of River Park Drive.

They say they found shell casings in that area, but no damage to homes or vehicles.

Then, around 9 p.m., police received another call from someone who found one of their family members shot inside their own home.

This was also on River Park Drive.

Police say the man is in his early 20’s and suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

They also say his injuries are potentially life threatening.

According to police, there was damage to the front of the home consistent with it being shot into from outside.

Police have no suspects at this time.
