Man shot early Friday morning at Camelot East dies of injuries

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police are investigating a Friday morning shooting at a Lexington strip club as a homicide after one shooting victim has died.

The coroner says 30-year-old William Thornton died Sunday morning after being shot in the head at Camelot East. Police say the shooting happened early Friday morning and they found Thornton in the parking lot, with a gunshot wound to the head.

They say a short time later, another man showed up at UK with a gunshot wound to the chest. At the time, both were said to be suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Thornton’s autopsy is scheduled for Monday, according to the Fayette County Coroner.
