Man says 5 masked men robbed him of $275,000 worth of jewelry

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a man reported being robbed of a quarter of a million dollars in jewelry by five masked men.

Police say the call came in around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday outside a Holiday Inn Express on Buena Vista Drive.

The man told investigators he was in town selling jewelry when five masked men jumped out of a van and took his bags.

The reported victim says there were approximately 250 pieces of jewelry in the bags valued at around $275,000.
