Man robbed in Lexington’s third shooting of 2016

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police say a man was leaving work early Saturday morning when he was robbed at gunpoint before being shot.

Officers say they responded to the Burger King on Lane Allen Road just before 1:30 a.m. When they got there, they say they found the victim, a man who’d just left work at the fast food restaurant, suffering a gunshot wound to his buttocks.

Police say he reported being robbed before he was shot. They did say they found a gun in the area but the suspect had fled on foot. He was described as wearing all black.
