Man robbed at gunpoint for his phone

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- In Lexington, a man says two robbers took his cell phone Saturday morning and hit him with a gun.

Police say around 4 AM the man’s car broke down on Codell Drive near the Double Tree Suites on Richmond Road.

As he waited for help, two men came up to him with a gun.

Officers say they hit him with it then took his cell phone.

He ran to a nearby home to call for help.

Officers are still looking for the two suspects.
