Man Robbed After Offering Ride To Stranger

Lexington Police said a man was robbed early Thursday morning after offering a ride to a man that was flagging him down.

The robbery happened around 2:15 Thursday morning according to officers. They said a 24-year-old man reported he was driving on Loudon from Broadway when he offered a man who had flagged him down a ride to CITGO on E. Loudon.

The victim said when they got to the gas station, the suspect pulled a silver pistol on him and is accused of stealing his cell phone and cash.

The victim said the suspect then fled on foot toward Broadway. Officers described the suspect as around 5’8" with dreadlocks,wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Officers report K9 units lost track of the suspect on Meadow Lane. No one was hurt.
