Man rescued from collapsed Lexington house Saturday morning

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Fire Department says it rescued a man from a collapsed house Saturday morning.

According to the fire department, the home on Merino Street was set for demolition when it partially collapsed prematurely around 10 a.m.

They say one man was stuck, taking firefighters and about 10 structural collapse specialists working together to get him out safely.

Firefighters say the man was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.
