Man registers three times legal limit, charged with DUI after car clips child
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 41-year-old Lexington man is charged with DUI after the car he was driving struck a child Sunday night.
According to arrest citations, Rico Miller, of 3720 Camelot Apt. 4, registered .253 — more than three times the legal limit of .08 — on a breath alcohol test after the 2007 Chrysler 300 he was driving clipped a 6-year-old girl outside of a Chiles Avenue home at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday.
Fortunately the girl was not seriously injured.
According to the arrest citation, Miller admitted to being intoxicated and showed signs of impairment on field sobriety tests.
