Man “looking for job,” finds jail time instead
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Laurel Co. Sheriff says a London man has been arrested after being found trespassing in a business early Monday morning.
According to the Sheriff, deputies went to a business off Fariston Road when a burglar alarm was activated. When they arrived, they say they discovered 48-year-old James Price on the property.
When asked why he was there, Deputies say Price told them he had walked to the business trying to get a job. Deputies say that when they questioned Price about his claim, noting that it was 2:00 a.m. and the business was obviously closed, Price said that he had planned to sit in the business’s office and wait for the owner to come the next morning.
The owners of the business arrived on the scene, and determined that nothing had been taken.
Deputies say they were able to determine that Price was intoxicated. He was taken to the Laurel Co. Detention Center and charged with criminal trespassing and public intoxication.
