Man leads troopers on high-speed chase through Pulaski County
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A Somerset man led troopers on a chase through Pulaski County Tuesday morning.
Troopers noticed a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo driving with expired registration.
Troopers attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver of the SUV ignored troopers and continued driving eastbound toward Laurel County.
The driver, 26 year-old Nathan Troxell of Somerset, led troopers on a high-speed chase for 19 miles before being forced to stop.
During the pursuit, Troxell swerved his vehicle into a State Police vehicle causing minor damage.
Troopers safely deployed the Stinger Tire Deflation Device across the road, which disabled Troxell’s vehicle.
Troxell lost control of his vehicle after hitting the device and drove into an embankment before coming to a stop.
Troopers were able to arrest him without further incident.
Troxell was cited and taken to UK Hospital to be treated for his injuries after hitting the embankment.
He was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree, 7 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest and several other traffic charges.
