Man leads deputies on short pursuit in church parking lot
PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office say a Nancy man faces several charges after they say he tried to flee from a deputy on February 16.
Deputies say around 6 a.m. Saturday, they say a green 2015 KIA Soul driving erratically on Oak Hill Drive.
Deputies say after trying to stop the car, a pursuit started in the parking lot of Oak Hill Baptist Church, deputies say the driver was driving in circles. The driver finally got out and was identified as 30-year-old Douglas Gilbert.
Gilbert was arrested for DUI, among other charges.
During investigation, deputies learned that Gilbert had been involved in an earlier accident where a utility pole and a mailbox were damaged on Ferry Road the same day.
